Havent shot this HHI limited edition 22 in a couple years, but makes picking squirrels off feel easy.

In your land I think I would carry a second weapon. I dont make good bear poo. Way to fat to run and I cant climb (well, havent been properly motivated to try). Nice 22 by the way!

I wondered about that too.
FWIW: I have a couple ruger mk 2s that I carried a lot of miles checking traplines and squirrel / rabbit / raccoon hunting back in the day. Both have now had internals and other parts replaced with volquartsen competition stuff and one now wears a leupold 2.5x8 while other a holoson green dot. Got a find a good holster for them now...

That little Ruger MK II has sent a hundred + squirrels and rabbits to the stew pot in heaven. JD Jones created a pile of these somewhere back in maybe the late 80’s?? HHI logo, numbered, square barrel with the SSK cannon tip, and a couple pro comp ports, that lets you fire fast, with no movement.

Way back I gave my dad a bicentennial Ruger Mk1, with him living in the Catskills upstate New York he had a ball with it. I wish I had it but he sold it before I could offer to buy it back.
