My gun shop guy showed me this S&W M-15 on consignment that had everything I could want in an older revolver, low shot count, exceptonal blue finish, tight gap, nice trigger, decent wood and box. All for an offer I could not refuse.....

My uncle just picked up a pre-15 Combat Masterpiece like your gun. He has been shooting it quite a bit and I shot it just enough the other day to really get why he is shooting it, it is really classic and smooth. A lot to like in those old guns...

For a kit gun that M15 is perfect.
Congratulations!

O Yeah , That gun IS beautiful. I would of had to buy it too. The M-15 does not offer excitement, but it does offer impeccable manners and class, lots of class. Simply no better way to discharge 38 spl. But, one as nice as that I'm afraid I would have to rathole back in the safe. I would have a hard time using for mere random shooting. But for the sheer joy of 38s in a fearless to carry, virtually indestructible form I opted for the same gun in stainless and micarta. This one is a 67-2. Looks good but, the perils of holster carry have been polished away ,many times.
