Ruger SUPER Redhawk 41 magnum

Does anyone else own one? I’m talking about the .41 magnum Super Redhawk, and not the Redhawk. Last year I watched one on GB for a while that was fairly priced. I have a bid for the opening price and won. While arranging for shipping I started to get feeling of buyer’s remorse. I don’t own any other super RedHawks and had only handled 1 or 2 in gunshops. The facts were I had always found them a bit homely and cumbersome.

Well, I no longer feel that way. It came with a Burris Fastfire sight, but I replaced it with a a 2x Leopold. I had several boxes of off the shelf ammo that I have been shooting and this ugly duckling has turned into a beautiful swan. It would be unfair to talk about group sizes because my arthritis kept me from shooting my best. But now Uncle Arthur is feeling much better so I will begin load development soon for it to prepare for the upcoming deer season. I am really enjoying owning this revolver.

I don’t think I have ever seen one in .41 Mag. I am kinda kicking myself for not picking up one in 10mm when they first came out. Definitely overbuilt for the round but would have loved to have it rechambered to a tight .38-40 to really reach that rounds potential

The Super Redhawk in .41 is a quiet collectable handgun. Many don't know about them, nor appreciate them. But those that have one,, well, it's often said; "I'll never sell this gun!"

A SRH in .41? I never heard of one being offered by Ruger that's a great find for sure.

It is a very sweet shooter and though I never say never, I don’t plan on selling it any time soon, or later even!
