The Charter Arms Professional can be a dandy 32 snub BUT, be aware you will have to deal with the front sight being way too tall. Easy enough but some tomfoolery is involved. Also , a 7 shot 3" too big for a pocket gun but SWEET in a pancake. If you want pocket carry, the 5 or 6 shot Undercoverette is what you want.

This one has a 4" barrel but hard to beat a J-frame S&W...

Nothing against the other guns, but I am a fan of Charter revolvers when it comes to small revolvers. My current carry-gun is a stainless, 3", five-shot 357 Mag Pug, which I believe is the same frame the 32 Mag Professional is built on. Compact, lightweight and accurate. I've shot Charters fro a long time and prefer the design overall. They could use a few refinements, but they work as-is. I'd just as soon have the tapered barrels back, with no underlug and no ejector housing as the current barrels, which are clumsy to look at and add more weight and bulk than need be, but they are still very concealable. I've carried this frame-sized Charter in 44 Special or 357 since 1982 and am spoiled by how carry-friendly they are. I almost jumped on the 32 Mag Professional myself a while back but got hold of myself. Trying to keep the number of chamberings to a few. I believe Needmostuff has the professional and has posted here about it. I think he's been pleased with his.
EDIT: I got fooled again, thinking I was at the end of the thread when there was another page to go.

S&W 431PD in 32 H&R magnum, 1-7/8" barrel (upper left in pic below). I wish I had a pair of these, but just the one and it's in a front pocket holster whenever I leave the house. Stoked with 100 gr. Hornady XTP HPs over a Brian Pearce charge of WW296. I find the DeSantis Superfly pocket holster is perfectly suitable for my needs.... like I said, I wish I had a second one of these sweet litte revolvers.

and have been thinking hard about a .32 cal gun for EDC. one of the Charter Arms .32 H&R chambered guns. I am thinking pocket carry or small OWB holster carry. As far as the CA's go this is how I pack 'em. The 3" professionals are more of a utility "walk-about" gun. They ride securely in a Simply Rugged Pancake made for a 3" S&W J frame. blood pressure station near meThe little Undercoverette can slip in a pocket or go OWB in this little EPS (also made for a J frame snub) rig. Hope this helps.

I'd have to agree the little Smith is a tidy piece.

If you are looking for a "pocketbook" gun would look at the Ruger LCR... No hammer for to get caught on anything and the trigger pull on the LCRs that I have owned or shot have been very good.
I had one when I started getting "into" .32s along with a S&W 632 PRO. The PRO was one of the finest snubbies I have ever owned...palm size group at 50 yards... Only sold them off as I knew I would never carry either of them.
Have never tried it but a lot of people report shooting .32 ACP in .32 revolvers. One can find this ammo much cheaper than the revolver rounds and would make for a good close range practice load.

I have been know to carry my 4 5/8ths Single 6 32 H&R Birdshead. I carry it in a simply rugged pancake cross draw style. It this crime infested sewer of a city there is a constant threat of a carjacking. When I am in my car it is easy to pull from a cross draw holster and quick to swing up and cock. And when I get out of the car it is easily hidden buy my shirt...tj

My hot weather alternate carry is a 331 Air Lite Ti in 32 H&R. You pick up an extra round over other J frames, and just under 12 oz. means it's easy to carry in anything. Plus it's quite corrosion resistant in case of perspiration. It came with the worst S&W trigger I ever touched though. It does wear crimson trace grips as fixed site J's aren't my strong suit for long shots.
They come up for sale occasionally, not any bargains that I've seen.
