I haven't liked stainless steel front sights with red inserts. I tried them on a couple of older S&W revolvers and found them difficult to see when compared to all black sights. So, I wonder why Bowen didn't change the front sight on this Redhawk??? If this was your revolver what front sight would you use? www.gunbroker.com/item/991373171

Are my eyes deceiving me? That looks like a black blade with a red insert. That said, I agree with you on the stainless front sights. And if it were mine it would have the patridge blade with the white line.

You may well be right. My old eyes aren't working the best these days.

I have the advantage of having my glasses on this morning. :-)

Old eyes, glasses hahaha. You guys are in for some surprises. Try not wearing glasses and the front sight is sharp and clear while the rear is fuzzy with sharp landscape. Now try the glasses and the rear sight is clear and sharp while the front is fuzzy along with the rest of the landscape. Thats the benefits of cataract surgery. There are a few handguns where it works out and you can see both well. All depends on how far away both sights are. The white dots and lines on black sights are really fine.
