If there were ever a reason to deep-seat bullets in your 45 Colt, this is it... LINKCurious to see how high it goes. - Rod

That's definitely a "factory ammo only" gun. Not a whole lot of meat on those cylinder walls. Would love to find a four inch barrel for my Model 25-5.

Interesting, most of the 28 conversions have a factory barrel bored out, this one appears to have a standard weight barrel on it. To bad there is so little info on the builder.

Hackles rise at photo of “customized,” alleged Model 28. Thoughtless polishing of hammer & trigger to assuage someone’s bad taste; contributes zero to a smooth pull. From a distance, reblue doesn’t look too bad. However, over-polished thumbpiece amplifies suspicion. Strange drag marks suggest lockwork may have been doctored, or gun handled by a mechanical illiterate. It so happens that a properly built N-frame Smith is a near-perfect instrument as manufactured. Any custom work must be in compliment to one of the all-time instruments of marksmanship. David Bradshaw

$650 wasn't too bad.
