I’m just starting to do some. S&B is pretty much recognized as the best brass, and Starline as quite good (I have both). For hot loads no one seems to like the Remington with large Rifle primers, and some Hornady brass has been cussed by others. For powder AA2200 provided highest velocities, and AA book loads go to full 58k levels. 4198, RL7 for light bullets, RL10 for heavier. I’d go to 6.8 Forums.com to get the latest info.

Right now I'm thinking IMR 3031 under a 110 gr Nosler Accubond or Sierra 110, mostly because that's what I have on hand. I have S&B, Hornady and Remington brass to try out.
Thanks for the response.

I went Grendel instead of SPC because I was already invested in 6.5, however the cases are about the same size. I went with AA2520 exclusively for my Grendel, for everything from 87gr. to 130gr. It provides good velocity, meters through powder drops easily, and is consistent with regard to temp variations.

I'm already heavily invested in the Grendel for my main deer/coyote/steel plate AR but I bought back my daughter's 6.8 and love the shorter barrel length configuration as it is more handy and much lighter.
My main powder for my 6.5 is XBR 8208 under a 123 SST. CCI 450 primers.

Use Sierra 115gr HPs over 28.8gr of AA2230in a Bison Armory built upper. Easily under an inch at 100.

We all pretty much started with H322 But that was with 110 to 115 gr bullets. H335 too much flash. When AA2200 was discovered it was found to be the highest velocity but with one caveat. It did not like hot weather. Now lets keep in mind this was about the time that a discovery was made by Hornady. Hornady found that the small rifle primers gave less pressure than the large rifle primers. So hense, the factory ammo from Hornady came with small primers. What did we do? started testing and found that if we loaded Large Pistol Primers in the large rifle brass,,, we got lower pressures and got better accuracy. Remember that Factories load for the Gen 1 chamber. No more pressure spikes. This was with the Hornady 120 gr. You can also back off the max loads with 2200 but that is only necessary in the summer time. You can also go to a different bullet. The Barnes are really good but pricey. I am referring to the 85 and 95 gr stuff. We didn't like the small primer brass VS large primer brass, but its what it is and you can still purchase whatever you like. Lake city brass got hard to find and I didn't care too much for Remington. So I went with Hornady. Having a lot of the large primer brass, I loaded it for the cold weather hunts. Owen was right in finding info over at 68forums.com AXman did a lot of testing and the info is there. Last time He and I talked, He had decided to go with 8208 powder. Keep track of your loads and what chamber you have and the twist rate. Write the Data down, and the temp, the Barometric pressure and the wind velocity and direction. You will learn faster and better than just doing a few shots and listen to the target! Also chronograph very important. But Yall know this.

Let me add that if you have a Gen 1 chamber in your barrel DON't sweat it. Your barrel will probably produce some accuracy. The longer leade in the Gen 2 barrels is like having the bullet jump further and with some barrels the accuracy was just not there. All factory ammo is made for the Gen 1 chamber. Lawyers and liability. So ammo is safe in all 6.8 chambers. A discovery of my own is that usually small rifle primers produce better accuracy than large rifle primers. SO after testing and trying I don't worry about it anymore. I have loads using both.
