linkAT TOP IS A BOWEN NIMROD 475 LINEBAUGH. I TRADED A NAVY LUGER FOR THIS REVOLVER, AND IT CAME WITH FITTED IVORY GRIPS, VERY, VERY NICE BUT NOT THE OPTIMUM GRIP MATERIAL FOR A HEAVY KICKER. AT THE BOTTOM IS A RUGER 6.5" 22lr BISLEY, MY FAVORITE 22lr REVOLVER AND A SHOOTING SON OF A GUN. I HAD THE SAMBAR STAG GRIPS ON THE 22lr BISLEY BUT RECENTLY SWITCHED OUT THE GRIPS. THE STAGS PROVIDE FOR A BETTER GRIP ON THE NIMROD AND THE IVORIES, WHILE THEY MAY OVER DRESS THE 22lr, WORK GREAT AND LOOK AWESOME ON THE BISLEY 22lr.

I think the stags look “right” on the Nimrod and the ivories certainly look classy on the Bisley Single Six. This is a part of the fun of ownership of Rugers, swapping parts, grips, sights, holsters, etc. is possible. I can’t explain it, but sometimes a grip swap seems to make a gun shoot better, or worse.

Yeah, I think it was a good swap. Functional and good looking!

I have a SS Bisley like yours but mine is the adjustable sight model. I love the Bowen/.475 Linebaugh

I've yet to replace grips on a plow handle Ruger because I'm not fussy about looks, but for some reason the Bisley frame just looks correct with grips other than those provided by Ruger.
