I found one of these in 44 Magnum at the gun show this past weekend. I had a table but didn't bring much money with me to the show and only two guns. I sold one just before the show opened and was walking back to my table when I stopped to say hi to a vendor friend. He was just getting there, and I noticed a lever action rifle on his table. His asking price was just a little more than I had in my wallet, but he was willing to wait until I came up with the rest. $425.00 was his asking price and it seemed good enough to me, so I bought it for that.
Condition is fair to good in the finish, and excellent in terms of the action, so it's a first class shooter. It shows wear but isn' t ugly by any means. The seller told me that it was made in '79, and it has an 11 rd magazine capacity and a buckhorn rear sight along with a straight post up front. It works great and seems to hit to point of aim from the small amount of offhand shooting I've already done with it. It should make a good blueberry picking, camping, caribou hunting rifle and fun shooting rifle.

That is a great price on that rifle. The Browning 92 is a fine rifle.

After using this one, I have to agree. All my shooting with it so far has been offhand. I'll have to try it off the bench with a Caldwell Lead Sled. That would give the best idea of the gun's accuracy. I already like that 11 rounds fit in the mag tube. The trigger is a little heavy and the action is a little stiff. I hope the action will smooth up some with use.

It will slick up with use. You might also break it down and clean/lube it. The 92 was John Browning's most elegant leveraction design, IMO.

I have 2 of them. One is darn-near new, so she sits in the safe. The other one is about 95%, so I shoot it for my SASS matches and such. I love it. Something about it feels "neater" to me than either my Winchester 94 or Marlin. Besides, that is a good price for one that you can shoot without worry.
