Sad day indeed, Bart left some big boots to fill for sure. Never got to meet him but from what friends have said he was as good as they come. Rest In Peace!

Madbo passing was very tough…but after today, I no longer feel “too young to start seeing my friends die off”…. Adios Compa…you will be missed….. Its been a rough stretch for our small group of firearms guys who still value to old ways over the new ways. We are losing the linkage to those times, thankfully that generation still wrote things down and published them on paper where as today writers put it on the internet and their thoughts and ideas are gone about as quick as they were written and posted. I can see me rereading some old Skeeter and Keith stuff this weekend just because it feels right. My wife wonders why I have a stack of books next to my easy chair that I have read and reread such as "Hell I Was There", but they always bring a smile to my face and remind me of some wisdom that never loses it value.

Not many of the old guard left. Sad to see Bart go so young.

I think he was 69. I'm taking my OM 44 flat top to the range today & firing off a few rounds in Bart's honor.

Curious, that dad and son both died young, relatively. Trapr It is tragic to say the least. I may get the Redhawk back out and fire a few for both of them.
