Shopping for a trigger and hammer for my newest S&W 617. Looks like TK Custom has what I need. Not cheap... But good..

Curious... What do these upgrades get the 617? A smoother pull and crisper trigger?

Better trigger all round. Smoother, crisper, and the durability of tool steel parts.

Is the trigger compatible with the factory hammer?

I'd say yes, but I'd also recommend you take the question to TK Custom

Is this for K-frames in general, or for the 617 in particular? I ask that because getting .22LR to go off in a revolver needs a harder hammer blow than centerfire. You may be buying unreliability. Just a thought.

The rimfire S&W platform can be fun. I've fought with J and K frame revolvers. Don't remember having any gray hair before that.
