Well I just couldn't stand it . Went to the pawn shop and put a TC on layaway . Looks brand spanken new . 14inch 30-30 barrel . The grip and forend look like Hogue or something but the grip has the TC emblem . Now I will be on the hunt for a 45-70 barrel .

Tip of the iceberg..... You find a Contender, G2 Contender, or Encore? Start watching for barrels.. Lots of good deals to be had on used guns with multiple barrels. My newest was a G2 with a 375 JDJ and 6mm BBI barrel. The options are virtually endless... Barrels, scopes, and custom wood will eat up your gun fund quick... If you found a G2 or Encore go to Mike Bellm for spring kits...

Thanks Axehandle for the info . Even my wife is excited about this gun . I believe it is a G2 . I ran across this article on TC 30-30 by John Taffin . www.sixguns.com/tests/tt3030ss.htm
