After fighting with my old Lee hand priming tool, mostly flipping small primers on their sides while priming, I bought the Frankford Arsenal version and couldn't be happier. So far it is far easier to use and I like the seating depth stop control that it features. It's nice now to prime my cases without being frustrated or just plain mad. One needs to keep a cool head while reloading after all. 🙂

I've been using the same priming tool since '17, and I doubt I'll ever have to replace it, it's heavy duty, and smooth operating, I also use the same loading block you have, you've made excellent decisions

What kind of shell holders does it use? I have used the Lee for many years with no issues.

It comes with the shell holders, but Lee shell holders fit perfectly

Glad to hear this and thank you for posting.
My old LEE (round primer magazine) is still hanging on and I keep waiting for it to break. Gone are the days when someone is trying to offload one in a box-'o-junk at the gun shows for $2, so I need to do something.
Flipping small primers over once in a while has been my only complaint. For many years, I used mostly large primers and it didn't matter.

I got one similar to that (Sinclair). I like that design much more than the rcbs that I started with.

My Lee Auto Prime dates back to the 70s. Did spring for a second one so I don't have to swap back and forth for large and small. The RCBS priming tool has interested me for a while. This tool of yours looks good...

Can you tell me what you like better about the Sinclair? I am interested in it. I love not needing shell holders but have broken the plastic parts that support/hold the tray.

I'm still using the older model of the RCBS Posi-Prime. Haven't really tried, nor needed anything else.

I've had mine for 5+ years. I've loaded small and large primers of all types. I bought some rcbs primer trays and they work great. The lee ones that fold in half did not work well for me. It has been a useful tool with minimal complaints from me.

I have three Lee Auto prime. Way back when I had a single stage and my Hornady Pro-jector (broken primer parts, no support from Hornady and I buy Dillon now) it was easier to use than the press.
I've looked at the Frankford model and one + for the Frankford, I read that the Lee shell holders work in it.

The rcbs that I have is pot metal and plastic. It works. But you get what you paid for. The Sinclair is all metal and feels like a piece of equipment made for/from the machine shop. I use it for my bottleneck rifle rounds. Very positive feeling when seating primers.

Just as an aside, the RCBS Auto Priming bench tool is amazing. Easy on the hands and keep carpal tunnel at bay. I highly recommend it. An ingeniously design and super functional tool.
