This is what I carry EDC either in a Safariland No. 28 pancake or a shoulder holster. Accuracy at the indoor range was stellar with it from 5 and 7 yards.. I couldn't be happier. Anyone else carry a S&W mod 66-8?

Not so much carry as available for utility packing,,,, but mine's a little longer. Here's a couple of comparison shots for fun reference. Compared to an old school 66. Compared to a Mod. 69 for understudy training.

Fine shooting. Those are fantastic guns. I've carried a 2.5" 66 everyday since 1995. It's quite an accurate revolver: I think the newer ones have a slightly longer barrel, right? Something like 2.75"? -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I have both barrel lengths. My favorite is the snubbie, but have shot the 4.25" the most. Only carry the short one occasionally. Great little guns - have thoroughly enjoyed mine. .357 Mag range day (a while back). My 2.75" 66-8 on far right. . . paul
