My uncle had a 4” 28 made into a 45 colt with a fantastic set of Fishpaw walnut grips on it. Marvelous gun, the only slight drawback to the 28 (and I’m sure the 27 is the same) is the cylinder is a bit short and limits you in some bullets that can used in the gun.
He has said a number of times he should have found a 27 to start with. He saved a few bucks on the base gun but by the time it was all said and done spent a lot on the gun and should have spent a few more to start.

That’s why I had a .41 magnum cylinder re-chambered to .45 Colt…..to have the long cylinder.
