The Cimarron is made by Uberti also. I think they are good guns. Frank

Frank I think the confusion if there is any is that Cimarron Arms sells the Pietta Millenium which looks very much like one of the Uberti guns. I think you see both pictured in this thread. I apologize for any confusion I added here not properly describing what I had found from the get go.

My wife gave me a Cimarron Bisley last year . Beautiful gun , shoot right where I want , much easer for me to grasp the hammer . Plus the hammer is wider . Seems to be a good hog leg in .45Cold....................Mutt

CalFred, no problem, from what I'm reading & seeing at the gun shows I think Uberti manufactures guns for a number of importers. I've seen by Uberti on a number of six-guns at the shows lately. Frank

You can tell who made them, and when they were made by checking the proof marks. All Italian made guns that are exported as fully assembled units will have proof marks somewhere. Possibly under the ejector rod housing on the Cabelas model. Here is a link to these marks and the date codes: store.bluebookinc.com/Info/PDF/POWDER/MBPProofmarks.pdfJoe
