Getting a Pietta made 4 3/4" 45 Colt from Cimarron. One of them calls it the Millenium. Anyone have one of these, it is matte and flat brass in color?

Haven't had a chance to shoot it since I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I drive a semi and bringing it along isn't feasible since I often go up to Canada where they get all anal about such things.

Yours would appear to be the Cattleman Hombre by Uberti.

Could be. I do know that when I spotted it at the local gunshop I wanted it. Price was right and I had been wanting one for a few months.

A friend of mine got one and was pleased with how it shoots. It was nicely fit and the price was right. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I know for a while Cabela's had their own version of a millenium, but I'm not sure who made it. Mine actually doesn't show a maker's name on it anywhere, just cabela's rollmark on the barrel, but it shoots well enough, just haven;t really figured out what I'm going to do with it.

(3 years ago) I saw one at an outdoor range one day and asked the guy about it. This one was an Uberti in .45colt and it shot really well. I don't know how it will hold up, but this guy bought his for $250 from a sporting goods store. I ran over there and they didn't have anymore. Seemed like a good investment for 250. Of course now you can buy a USFA Rodeo. Twice as much, but a huge difference in quality.

$395 is the price I have. Very tight and very well fitted from what I can see as is my Pietta 1860 Army.

I like the Cimarron SA, I've shot several & they are pretty accurate. The ones I've handled seem well made. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. Frank
