A DW .414 Super Mag with two barrels on GB. Would love to get one of these but this is already bid up beyond what I would pay. Dan Wesson .414 SMGuess I'll stick with my Max converted .414 SM.

As I recall, Dan Wesson only made 25 or so in .414. With twelve days to go and already being over $3,000, I wouldn't be surprised if it fetches $5,000+. I ordered one in 1997 but it was never filled. They went out of business before they got to my order. However, I do have a .414 SuperMag done on a converted DW .357 Maximum. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I've got a 6" I ordered from Bob Serva himself. I always thought it was a bit odd that he would answer the phone and take orders. I received it on March 28th, 2000.
Norwich S/N 43. It came with one of those brass door knob barrel wrenches. Most of the Super Mags I see come up for sale have 8" barrels. Tony

Beautiful .414 DW you have there. With a serial number of 43, maybe they made more than 25 or so (for some reason that number stuck in my head). Either way, they're exceptionally rare. Back in '97, I ordered one through my local gun store. In hindsight, I would've been better off contacting Dan Wesson directly. That route clearly worked for you. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I don't know total number of 414 produced, but I believe the 25 number came from the original Monson run.

I called at 10pm knowing they were closed and was going to leave a message when he answered. Ended up talking to him over an hour.

I have a buddy that has a 414 that's marked "ET Gates 414" on it. That might be one of the first run.

Bob Serva answered the phone, When I called fusion firearms awhile back when They built my 38 Super, Nice guy and should get more credit in the gun world, maybe he is better at building gun's then at tooting his own horn...tj

I had been watching that auction. That was one of my grail guns after shooting deans 12-15yrs ago. I stumbled on one shortly after then got Deans after he passed. Can’t believe it sold for that.
