I never knew he was forging knives and I had never heard of copper Damascus. He wants to get a power hammer eventually. I don’t see how he does all his work by hand seeing as he is about the size of my leg.

I had asked him about that and he said it is basically brazed in. That the hardest part of making these was setting that weld and not melting the copper so much that it covered his shop and him when he hit it with his hammer. He tried to explain the process to me, but it was in my case like trying to put a gallon of water into a tea cup so my simple understanding might be flawed. I also figured if I was using it on something hard enough to break that then it would be on me as I used the wrong tool for the job.
