Narcissistic Tom

We were coming back from doing the paperwork on the Forkin Vaquero and as we were driving past on to the churches in town, my wife suddenly gasped and asked "Is that a rea turkey?" I looked to the right and saw a tom in full strut in front of the glass doors at the church! We whipped around the corner and pulled into the church parking lot and sure enough, there was this big tom in full strut regalia walking back in forth in front of the plate glass doors and windows either trying to impress that other tom he saw or simply just enjoying looking at himself!

Pretty funny and there has to be a lesson in there for those of us who get pretty self engaged sometimes.

When we got a new pup a few years ago he was fascinated with his own reflection in the curio cabinet mirror.

For the tom turkeys,, they do that often. Mirrors, glass, car fenders, and just about anything that causes a reflection to where they try to impress the "other" turkey they are the top one around. But hey,, I know a lot of people like that too!
