This am, first handloads to shoot thru the little guy. Got 148gr button nose WC's, PC'd by a member here. Small batch on 3grs of Bullseye, CCI500, CBC brass. Chrono conditions iffy. It will be maybe 25 with the sun bright and low and right in eyes/chrono. So a question. With a 1 7/8" barrel, I do not expect and won't try for lots of velo. But the chrono readings.. How do you allow for cold temps ? A known degree per fps available ? Chrono is a new toy for me. What temp is the agrred upon "normal" to adjust to, for comparison ?

Just in and up. The load averaged 620fps for a cylinder. OK group 4"high at like 15yds. Not bad for a get off me gun. Likely bump the 3grs of Bullseye abit and see if POI will come down some. While it was 30 degrees out, gun has been in my vest all morning and ammo in basement. Right into the gun and out to patio/range. Don't think ambient air temp a factor for chrono showing.

I went with same WC and used 231/HP38 3.6 grains excellent little round out of a 442-1. Little quicker on my chrono but I'm at 2800ft.

I have a .357 LCR and carry it quite a bit , points naturally and is very easy to shoot .

While Ruger lists a few different front sight options, NONE say they are higher.. What is out there, higher, F/O or tritium ?

Novak, HIVIZ and XS both make replacement front sight blades...not sure what the heights are compared to the factory original however...

In the colder months, I wander the house in a T-shirt and fleece vest. The little LCR can ride in a vest pocket as the Bulldog does. Yesterday though, was warmer, warmest since I brought the LCR home. No vest, looked down at Carhart t-shirt pocket and hmmm.. It dropped right in and made itself to home !

I have 4 of the little ugly black LCR guns. 22, 22MAG, 2-357’s. The triggers are great, they are extremely light, they shoot very well, even with me behind the trigger. It’s light enough that I will carry one, even if I don’t feel like carrying one. Yes, there ugly little things, and I do like the LCRX longer grip on the 357’s. As a tool, they are great tools. But yes, they’re ugly, and don’t have exposed triggers. I’m ok with that.

An easily found Blade-Tech is inbound. Looking for minimalist, single "hook" IWB. Liked a MK-Tek but seems no presence on Amazoonie. Told wife to hit the buy button. Then she told me not here till Tues.. Hmm, their claim to fame, same day, next day thing, not so much anymore. Doh ! Hoped to have it for the weekend. My bad, should have been on this since I decided I'm not fond of the little leather rig here. Into a pocket it will go. Getting ready for some up in the hills time. Getting ready to travel has changed over the years, now it is, find all the gadgets and widgets and charge all the batteries and battery packs. Double check that all the proper cords are in the proper vehicle. A back up battery(from NRA) is fully charged, 4 blue lights, etc.. Phew !

Looks good. What is the little checkered panel ? A retention release ? I'd not like that, dexterity, sensitivity issues.

Looks like a wedge. Mine has a leather loop, they changed them. Had my City Special for 4 years now, maybe longer.

The Blade-Tech worn my waking hours since it arrived. Yard work, out to dinner, on and off ATV and tractor. Like it. More than adequate for the job.
