I went through my evil 480 phase many years ago when I was playing 454, 475, and 500 on a regular basis. Exactly why I have 480 dies, brass, bullets, bullet molds, and sizing dies in the shop. These days I like mine slow and easy... Like me.

The danger of having unfettered access to the entire store... Ruger Redhawk Alaskan in 480 sitting on the inventory manager's desk. 6 shot version. Yes, it is mine. Pictures later today. It took me a Long time to dive into the Super Redhawk Alaskan. When I finally did, it was the 480. I need to work with mine, as in shoot it and chronograph some loads. I still do not consider them pretty. I have to admit, to me they make a handy packing revolver. I believe it will serve my spitball distance intent.

Been wanting one for a few years, myself. Now that the guns have seemingly become quite available, but for Buffalo Bore I find zero ammo available for these.
I reload but I don't really want to invest in components for something I probably won't shoot 50 rounds from a year.
Nice revolver! Love me those big bore Rugers!
