Dan Wesson Monson frame, NY barrel shroud

Wishing everyone a good Christmas.

Have a Dan Wesson .41 magnum frame with two centering pins, and a shroud that's drilled for only the one.

How is the top pin removed? In my impatience/rage, I tried pulling with pliers, only to bugger the pin enough that the original shroud won't fit properly.

Involve removing the rear sight, or just pull harder?

After maybe ten seconds at a friend's place with vise grips, it popped right out. Got the new barrel assembly on without issue. Now just need to find a new holster-nothing I have will fit the full underling. And whenever the new CC gets here, I'll order a fiber optic from EKW(he offered to drill the new shroud for the 2nd pin-I won't forget that).

Anyhoo, hope to test her out some tomorrow.

Kudos for getting that pin out. Perseverance pays.

The owner at EKW is really awesome for trying to keep the defunct DW sixguns alive and shooting. His barrel tool is really nice.

Vice grips are the greatest tool ever; and the worst. I hate when I have to use them; and then I praise them when they work.

I'd still like to see a pic of your setup; especially those 2 pins, or at least the hole where it used to be.
