Stan.... ain’t even gonna draw my 4-inch; your 629 looks more like 3-inches. Barrel looks shorter than my 4-inch, which S&W set back to remove barrel face/forcing cone erosion.
Were it mine, I’d strip clean and lube it, then try it with cast 240 SWC deep seated over 5.5/231 (or selfsame HP-38) in .44 Mag brass. David Bradshaw
