MAYBE I MISED IT, BUT, ALTHOUGH THE AUTHOR PROCLAIMED IT TO BE A DEER HUNTING REVOLVER, HE PROVIDED NO FIELD EXPERIENCE TO BACK UP THE CLAIM.

I HAVE shot deer with my Single Seven, and would NOT declare it a deer gun for the general public.

bb5: WHY WOULD THE LOADS BE OK IN THE 9.5" AND TOO HOT IN THE 6.5" GUN? THEY ARE BOTH S6's I PRESUME. Yes they are both S6's. I don't know why it's different, but cases require only a slight touch on the ejector rod in the 9-1/2" and primers are just flattening, but you have to hit the ejector and primers are flat in the 6-1/2". I have noticed the chambers in the 9-1/2" are tighter, and headspace is less. It's much better fit. That's why I am lusting after a 38sp conversion to the 6-1/2". The other is perfect as is.

MAYBE I MISED IT, BUT, ALTHOUGH THE AUTHOR PROCLAIMED IT TO BE A DEER HUNTING REVOLVER, HE PROVIDED NO FIELD EXPERIENCE TO BACK UP THE CLAIM. The author is a she, not a he. It seems she practiced diligently, took the S7 to the woods, didn't get a shot opportunity, and plans to try again this year. With sufficient practice and patience to wait for a good shot, the 327 seems up to the task with the right bullet. I wish her well.

I'm convinced a 32 at good velocity with a well designed bullet will do the job. It's proven itself before.

I recall the first time I heard of someone using a 327 Federal revolver to hunt deer. The surprise in his article was that he actually used Buffalo Bore (?) 32 H&R magnum ammo in the gun.
I have been impressed with the 327 since the beginning in a used SP101 with a 3" barrel. Now with a Single 7 and a Henry lever action carbine I just need to get out in the field to prove it for myself. I will never understand why Speer stopped making their 115 grain Gold Dot ammo.

I will never understand why Speer stopped making their 115 grain Gold Dot ammo. Or the GD Bullets in 100 and 125.

Hahahaha. Make a simple typo and it seems the 32 crowd comes out with pitch forks to tar n feather ya.
I can feel the 32ncal Aurora here. It is a great caliber that doesn't get enough press in the new and super Uber hyper magnum crowd. Quiet n slow we roll

Try Mihec's 314-640 GC 135HP/140 Solid known as the Ferminator. In BH only or 32 H&R brass in a Single7.
Like I should talk... Just had another S&W Model 16 arrive at my pusher's place. This one in a 4".
