Since I bought a couple of these for my flat tops some time ago and don’t have a red dot for it the question is:
Which sight??

Since I bought a couple of these for my flat tops some time ago and don’t have a red dot for it the question is: Which sight?? I went with the Vortex venom on my Griffon Hill mount, my 4th venom sight, it fit right on the mount perfectly, the mounting screws that came with the venom were a perfect fit too.

I'm partial to the Vortex as well. For me the 3 moa dot is the right size, and the sight has 130 moa in elevation and 100 moa in windage. That's a little more than the Burris FF3 at 115 moa elevation and 86 moa windage. The Vortex has 10 brightness levels which seem to be plenty for all conditions. One strike against it would be the screw lid for the battery, it can be tricky to get lined up at first. But after a couple times it's pretty easy, and it's top loading unlike other red dots where you have to remove the sight from the gun to access the battery.

Anyone interested in a reflex red dot sight should check out a Leupold Delta Point Pro. 2.5 moa, toolless battery change, sleep feature, several brightness levels, durable, clear glass lens, big fov, but expensive.

Just picked up one of these mounts for my .454 Bisley. Looks really well made! Now i just need to get busy and find a red dot for it!

Curious as to how these are holding up on the heavier recoiling big bores. I use the Weigand Mini Mount on a 7.5" 357 Max with zero issues but on my 480 Bisley it works loose even with blue Loc-Tite.

My son has this mount on a 4 5/8" 480 ruger. Has about 200 rounds through it with no problems of impact shift or loosening.

I know this is an old thread but does any one have one or two laying around I could buy or trade for? Kids are finally old enough that I can get back in to shooting .
