David called this one right. The ejector rod is right hand threaded. The case hardening served a real purpose as David says too. Unlike the visual we look for with current CCH it is a real surface hardening of the hammer and trigger for the wear properties that hardening bring. Obvious refinish makes it a definite shooter. Numrich has hammers and triggers. RH threaded ejector rods are currently out of stock

James.... a handgun hunter & collector. With a marquee, over-the-top, S&W ad: “... fleeing bank robbers stopped by one bullet... pierced car’s trunk... back seat, front seat, driver and steering post, killing driver and wrecking the car.” .... and.... “After the war, watch for this handful of dynamite..."
As a teenager, my first shooting of factory .357 Mag in Ruger Blackhawk leaded the barrel down to about 30 caliber, and did so in 30 rounds from the box of 50. We used mercury to de-solder the bore. Did not have any of the pointed FMJ armor piercing ammo when we shot up a bunch of cars in the 1970’s and into the 80’s. Some of our .44 and .41 Mag, starting through the rear bumper, made it through the dashboard. No one volunteered to fill the driver’s seat. Among loads tried, .38 Special and 9mm FMJ were prone to ricochet off windshields, albeit destroying the glass.
Reckon a few others on Singleactions tried the Lead SWC with Gas Check factory .357, and the same design in .44 Mag. HOT loads! David Bradshaw

Right, a great ad for a world where you say what you mean.
