Well got it done this am. Shot a nice eating doe at 53 yards broadside with the blackhawk. 158 grn xtp did its job. In the right shoulder and exited the left she ran about 60 yds and piled up. Took out both lungs. Trying to post a pic but I’m too ignorant I guess

I know people say a 357 isn’t enough for deer,but. With my loads and a pretty much perfect shot I’m not afraid to use it on a big buck now. I know shot placement is everything but I think I’ve got that down. Saw some bucks and a few more does but waited until everything was a perfect setup. I limit myself to 50 ish yards. This was offhand without a rest, if I had one I would have used it .
This is more fun handicapping myself to bow range shots. And this was taken from my bow stand

Nicely done, be careful with getting that blued gun in contact with blood, it’ll remove it quickly.

Very nice!!!! You did that with a lowly .357? You need a .475 or .500 to kill deer. Lol. The .357 is my favorite round. Very capable at reasonable ranges.
