I'll take it!!! Ronnie with all the old revolver smiths retiring, when are you going to hang out your shingle? And when are you going to convince Lee to do the same? Just a thought...

I'll take it!!! Ronnie with all the old revolver smiths retiring, when are you going to hang out your shingle? And when are you going to convince Lee to do the same? Just a thought... MY SHINGLES OUT BUD!!!!!!! As i perfect some of this stuff and a pile of cool parts. I am training two young boys that are very up and coming. They just happen to be Mine. haha. They have been doing this with me there whole life and absolutely love doing it. Ozzie( nephew) is making and shipping sights as i write this and Mitchell (youngest boy) is deburing hammers for the next operation. We are finishing up a couple of cool builds this week. A 360 Dan wesson long cylinder on a stainless blackhawk with a 4 degree Tater judge and a couple of old model single sixes with bells and whistles. And one super Nuclear 41 x 1.450" Ronnie Stupid for Mr Bcelliott, my favorite scientist. I have a few customers that want smith style barrels for there single seven 327s, so i just ordered up some stainless 1 in 14 to get them started. Programs and tooling are already done. so i can do them now. The Old Model Hammers and triggers are done and bugged out and shipping now! I am just about done with all the prototyping of the new model Hammers. My next is the colt and USFA, pietta, etc, etc, Hammers and then iwill bugg out my tooling and workholding for the GP100 and redhawk hammers that you guys havent seen yet. I have some prototype USFA hammers almost done for Kelye and hope to see how he likes them soon. We have a new Cnc Lathe set in place and are bugging out the tooling and process for Kelyes base pins also. He is such a great guy and has such a great product, it would be a tragedy to let it go. Once we have secured the deal im making on a small centerless grinder that has come available we will get started. So if you have got an itch, Let me Know. we are working 24-7 to bring good things to life. R PS: Lee Is a Stud of the first order and if he ever does, Six Gun World, LOOKOUT!

There will be a run of single 5 shot, 38s, probably Tater judge light weight packers with a nice 4 3/4 round with some neat features. we are buggin it out now. R. Or just call me.

Gentlemen, I'm not on here enough to catch everything - the past few years have been consumed with family - I won't bore you. It's because of finding this site - gosh I don't know why or how now, but I'm so happy that this old guy is privleged to be able to read, learn and gaze at this great stuff! Mr. Martin's masthead has shown up in my dreams! Somehow I caught Ronnie Wells' grip frames here, and well, down the rabbit hole I've gone! I'm on the east coast, don't have infinite distances to shoot, hunted whitetail and turkey with a longbow for years that I can't count, and therefore don't need 500 caliber cannons to shoot 500 yds, but a 357 will work just fine at the yardage I'm hunting. (of course, Ronnie starts talking a 360 :-) ) Ronnie (and with input from others here, thank y'all) has mine and I can't wait to finally shoot it! Ronnie has educated me, sent me back to this site many times, and tonight see this Single Six! These should win a modern design award!
Re Mr. Bradshaw's quote: Detail to follow on a hard corps sixgunner of Old School talent bridging our need today through modern machine technique. Ronnie may have been born 200 years ago, yet strides among us now.
David Bradshaw
Talking with Ronnie (he is descended from Six Gun royalty, if you don't know) tonight, he mentioned that he just loves these old guns. My thought is that these aren't just pretty old guns, these are the 21st century revolvers - and not only bridge the gap from the original SAA to Blackhawks, but are the most purely modern refinements that could be possible in the universe! Compared to semi-autos, they make a guy want to smile! Like everything that has evolved in design and function - from Model T's to warships, this, Ronnie's, Martin's, Bradshaw's, Tyler's - they are all the super refinements of what started in the past - and are pretty damn close to the perfection that the good Lord would want made!
Thank you guys for your enthusiasm, knowledge and creativity!

Just the box stock XR3 RED for testing Ronnie - after 30+ years of converting Rugers, the one I haven't got to yet is a .38 Spl on a Single-Six. Been meaning to build one forever. After seeing yours, I'm going to wait until these are available. I'm in and can't wait to try one. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I have a P-JR. Uberti in 38 spl. I love the combo of that sized gun and the wonderful 38 spl. But DANGIT it ain't a Ruger, it ain't got adjustable sights and it sure ain't got that beautiful barrel! I think it just lost some of it's shine.
That does it for sure now though, RW is gonna have to come up with a NM SS Bisley hammer. You know , in his spare time.

A couple of years back I wanted a dedicated .38 cal single action and picked up an Uberti "Stallion"/P-JR. And I really enjoy the heck out of shooting it. But after seeing this... I too " think it just lost some of its shine." Well... Ronnie. Even though I don't need it, it looks like you're gonna make me plan on buying another pistol. And, hopefully, in the not-too-distant future.

Well Like the run of 45 Vaqueros that Bobby Tyler acquired last time when we built the Featherweights, He has acquired a batch of 22 Lr single sixes and we have been trying to decide what to do with them. He just threw this out there to see if it was feasible. How bowt 38 special and what would it take to convert them to center fire. Good question! I have done it before but on a peice meal basis. I have built a couple of S6 10mm and 40 sw, but have always wanted to make some 38 specials and bobby asked, what if. So while the machines are running hammers, grip frames and what nots, i sat down and built a few Jigs for converting the rimfire to center fire easily and, it worked out great. The one thing that i did this time was to experiment with the Firing pin and breach plug. The Centerfire firing pin is .075" and the Rimfire is .087". I used the larger rimfire fp on this one just to experiment with and have had no issues as of 6 to 7 hundred rounds ranging from 3grains of red Dot behind a 148 grain hollow base wad cutter all the way up to a dump truck load of 2400 behind a 180 grain gas checked lead. And buddy boy the later is a handlfull, woohooooh, Hahaha. NO ISSUES. The last 10mm drove me crazy about the loading gate opening having that darn hole into the transfer bar cavity so that was my first engineering feat to be tasked and i figured out the perfect way to do it. Its all in the pre machining preparation. My good freind Rob Leahy sent me a Blackhawk of his to install a PJ 4 degree Heavy Recoil gripframe and it had a beautiful 44 mag model 29 barrel on it and that unfortunately set my mind in motion from a dull pace of about 300 miles per hour to well over mach JESUS. So once again trying to impress you guys (LOL) i took some 1 in 14 twist and built the aparatus to profile and mimic the smith and wesson style and shape of barrel and walah. This is what i came up with. A simple change to the program and i can make it any length, limited only to however long i can get the barrel blank. Im tapering it forward down to .025 thousandths from frame to muzzle so that it has a noticable taper and looks quite elegant and flowing. The top has a little bit courser seration due to the fact that the 40 Thread per inch on the SW is to fine and it is easy to lay the sharp edge over and mess up the whole cleanliness of the serations so i went with 32 and they are close and hard to discern from the S&W but a little tougher. I opted for a changeable blade as well because on the larger calibers i would have to start out with a Barrel blank ranging between 1.5" to 2". It will also allow fine tuning of the sight height. I think shes pretty Sexy myself but i will let you guys decide. Very Packable and butt loads of power. Whata ya think. R Just the box stock XR3 RED for testing This has me more excited than anything I’ve seen in a long long time 😍😍😍
