I've wanted to see how one of these would turn out for a long time now. I found a good clean revolver to work on a few years ago, and finally got around to it last year, then ran out of time, but ended up finishing it up in some spare time this afternoon. I looked online to see pics of one before I got it done, and I can't find any single six hunters converted at all. Do any of you guys have one? If so I'd like to see others. I tried 20 or more sets of grips on this particular frame, and only ONE of those sets fit right, and that was after a LOT of filing on the raw frame casting. The trigger and hammer set ended up being nice, and I want to tune the springs and go see how it shoots with some 45 FTX pretty bad now that it's done, but I did it just as a sale project so leaving it alone, but I think if Lipsey's ever gets Ruger to do the .327 version I'll be in like flint on that deal. I really like the look, heft and balance of this one. A .327 with a bit of weight shed would likely be about a perfect balance of weight versus pointability/stability I'm guessing.

Our dedicated squirrel whackers would sure like that, and think you can move those cans back another 25 yds too !

Very nice & clean looking gun. While many of us like the Bisley g/f for recoil management,, it can also be a type of g/f that fits a person's hands the best. And I always preach,, "Fit & comfort" in a handgun grip.

I really like the Bisley with factory grips on single sixes and mid range recoil on bigger guns. On heavy caliber large frame guns the frame has to be modified to make room behind the trigger guard, and the grips have to be custom made right, or it doesn't work so well for me. The FA 83 actually works best of anything I've tried so far in .475 Linebaugh at the upper end. Other guys I know are exactly opposite. I also found the Super Hunter frame works better for me in some cases than the Bisley on bigger stuff, so looking forward to doing one with one of those eventually. I had a 4 5/8 Bisley flat top .44 Spl I ran a 255 Keith at 1250 out of and the Bisley worked perfect for that little fire tosser.

Nice gun! I've had 2 9.5 inch single sixes. The 3 screw was accurate, but the new model was a tack driver, it gave up NOTHING to rifles. You guys know exactly what this dunce did, and that i regret it. I would like another one day. Maybe a blue single six hunter with number 5 parts. THAT would be sweet.
