AS you guys know the last couple of months have been a whirlwind of activity trying to rehome the 100+guns my BIL had in his two safes. I am down to just one hand gun and the last long gun is on consignment at the local shop and not a moment too soon. With the new UPS shipping BS I was still able to ship handguns through the other arm of the local shop. Since they do a ton of UPS shipments of safety products they get a really good rate and it helped tremendously. After the last shipment of 4-5 handguns they mentioned that UPS had contacted them and told them that now they needed to have their FFL on file with UPS in order for UPS to ship handguns for them. The owner said that gun shipments was such a small part of their business that they were not willing to jump through those hoops nor were they willing to jeopardize their main business by crossing UPS.
Today I went down to ship the last of the reloading components through their shop and the owner said that she did not want to ship ANYTHING gun related any longer. No brass, no bulk bullets, nothing. I asked her if she preferred me to take it to the local private shipping outlet and ship through them and she sheepishly said yes. I tried to explain that the UPS change involved firearms, not components but she did not want to to anything to harm their core business so she didn't care. Her business, her call. Luckily I still had one of the USPS handgun shipping forms and I was able to take a handgun back down and have the gun guy sign the form I had filled out so I could take it down and ship it through USPS. He just wanted the description and Serial number to log it is as a shipment so then I had to explain how it worked to the nice lady at the post office. I explained that the form was only for the handgun I was shipping, not the long gun, where to file the form on her back desk in the file and that even though she did not need the senders and receivers FFL, I brought them in so she could confirm their legitimacy.
So you see why it was good not to bruh my teeth! I just got the last of all the guns shipped by that thick skin that my teeth wear by virtue of not brushing! (Tongue in cheek guys)
