Took two revolvers out with new front sights. Results were Mixed. The good 1st. The Bowen front sight for my 7.5 inch Red Hawk, is fine. 1st Groups were a bit low and left. But only needed a couple turns of the screw to dial it in. However , I had nothing with witch to adjust the tiny windage screw. Dumb of me to not grab the screw driver I use for that. But I did make some good shots, and This is a fine revolver made better with the nice red insert ramp front sight. I think I might have ordered the Wrong Dawson sight for my 69. But with full house 250 grain 44 magnums, it is not an easy gun for me to sight in. I frequently would get a group, slightly low and left and another high and right. My guess is the hi and right groups are the right one to use. The low left groups would indicate that I was Flinching. But at least I was flinching Consistently the groups were pretty darn good ! ...tj

I sight my 69s with a load that is the same bullet weight I carry at or about 1,000fps. For me and the ranges that I shoot the bullet will hit within an inch or two when full house loads are used, they just get there faster. Reference Elmer said that larger doses of 2400 didn't change impact points, just made the bullet (his) get there faster. I love my 69s, got to hand it to Smith and Wesson on this model.
