Defiantly, has the cool factor.
And it would be great in hip holster. If you were in snake country, a Moon clip full of shot loads would be great. But for night guards I want something with a red dot.

I had two in .44 Mag, I still have one of them. One of the neatest series S&W has ever made. The Cylinder & Slide sights are excellent.
I traded the NIB one for a Lew Horton 3" 624, but I have shot the remaining one. Even with reasonable loads, it is less pleasant than a 329PD. 45ACP would probably be a lot more enjoyable.

I admit to only having clicked on it because Axehandle posted it. Didnt sound interesting to me until I got to see it, but that's very nice and USEFUL.
That rear sight looks like the one I made for my 3" Bulldog - smooth, robust and more to see than a little notch in the frame.

That little piece of metal in the cylinder gap always struck me as a cheap afterthought. It may be effective at its job but it just screams cheesy to me, there is no reason aesthetics cannot be kept and still accomplish the job, except $$$$$
