Bought a new one with the 4.25 inch barrel. Single action pull is about 6 pounds which is to heavy for my tastes. Been a long time since I sent a revolver out for work. Contacted Hamilton since he lives close by and he won’t work on it. Suggestions for a pistol smith are appreciated. Does JH do this type of work? Thank you.

Skeen, Thanks. I did some research and Heffron seems to be the gold standard for Colt revolvers. Looks like my Python will be going to him this week.

Dang! after reading what he says he can do to one I want to buy a Python, just so I can send it to him. It should be a delight when you get it back.

I went to site and checked him out. Then promptly went to Sportsman’s website to look for various Colts in 357! Kind of wanting one of the smaller 357 they make w/3” barrel. My 6” K frame is great at the range but bigger than I like for belt carry (let alone concealed).

Gave Mike a call and he can do my Python in Feb. Also told him I plan on buying a new Anaconda before then so will send him that one as well. The more time I spent talking to him on the phone the more impressed I was.
