I got a couple threads going, but for this topic, this is the right place!
I want a long barrel 327 revolver but I just can’t get over the adjustable sights, I like Vaqueritos. What are my options for top strap aesthetic modifications, are there attractive (or at least alternative!) rear sights out there, can I flat-top-ize the single seven?
Or is there nothing out there, and I really really should just wait to pounce on a vaquerito?

As I mentioned on another site,, no factory options like you seek are available.
Since your choice is a Vaquero design,, I'd look for one already made & have a custom barrel installed. As mentioned before,, the top strap would likely require welding,, and re-cutting. I think the custom barrel route may be the least expensive route.

Find a Bisley single 6 with a 6.5 in bbl with a drift rear sight in 32 H&R mag and have a new 327 cylinder cut for it and put a new patrigde/brass insert front sight on...Thats what Andy Horvath did for me...Its a shooter

You know what, that is exactly what I will do. There was one on gunbroker ending literally 40 minutes after I read your post. Fermin sent me a picture of his, and Lord knows that was enabling! I bought it. I overpaid, and come this time next year, I will have forgotten that I overpaid but will still be enjoying shooting the heck out of it! Before I consider sending it out for a new cylinder, I will punch the existing cylinder out to fit 327 brass. It will only see cast handloads anyways, and then I only have to 'stock' 327 brass. After that, I can tailor the load to do what I need at shorter OAL. And if not, well heck I send it out for a new cylinder Recon the six cylinder can handle 40ksi? A cursory internet search suggests the answer is a solid "probably" . I'm off to find a bullet mold!

Punching out the 32M cylinder has been done,,, it should be noted the reason Ruger went with 7, was to relocate the cylinder notches to a meatier location on the cylinder. I still don’t understand the WHY? When the 32M can be loaded up to near what the 327M will do on the RUGER platform. I have both 32M & 327M, in the end there both 32 caliber, what is a few extra FPS really going to get you. I like 32 Caliber 32HRM’s 327FM’s

Look at the loading data that Fermin posted a couple years ago on here...a dose of 2400 an a 125 grn bullet gets you dam near a 327 with out the expense an noise!! That said I shoot this load way more than 327's and that 32 load is hell on 300/lb hogs an down in size...My 2 cents

It's to save the cost of 32 HR brass. We can call it penny wise and pound foolish, but at the end of the day, I'll have it the way I like it! Since most of us here have a full custom that shoots as well as a tuned factory at twice the price, I think most here can relate I'll use bluedot powder. I believe with the OAL restriction I'll end up around 36ksi (according to quickload) which if anywhere near true will be enough for my needs! Hopefully I get the accuracy I'm looking for

S&W front sight. Got the Dawson Front sight for my Model 69 today. At the moment my revolver is muzzle down soaking in Liquid wrench. I notice it what I think is called a roll pin, not solid like on a Ruger. Seems like it might be less of a pain in the rear than a solid one. But I don't know much. I have a pin punch ready to go. And a #52 bit left over from doing my SS Blackhawk. Is that the same size for the SnW or do I need to invest a couple bucks in a different bit ? ...tj
