Makes sense. I should have realized that. Thanks!

The moon clips are probably there to help ignition reliability as it is a rimless case... Probably headspaces on the case mouth but having the clips help maintain headspace.
Isn't this a .355 diameter bullet?

Isn't this a .355 diameter bullet? I've seen conflicting info on this. Some show it as .355 and others as .357.

For bullet diameter , check the chamber when you get it. What fits will determine what you use. The bore and groove, per SAAMI, is the same as 9mm. However, most don’t realize SO is 357 magnum. Now, American makers generally go larger bore and groove dimensions, but the agreed upon dimensions say different. Shoving a .357 bullet down a .355 or .356 barrel isn’t an issue. However if the case can’t release said bullet, well that’s when things get exciting in a bad way. Some of my friends have reamed the chamber on their AR15 so that they can use .357 bullets as well, since there are far more available in the weights beyond 147 grains.

It probably would not work because of some dimensional thing but i wonder how hard it would be to get that new revolver to shoot the .357 Max ? ...tj

It probably would not work because of some dimensional thing but i wonder how hard it would be to get that new revolver to shoot the .357 Max ? ...tj I just got interested. I'm always looking for a new piece of steel to shoot 357 Maximum. I've enjoyed the Ruger SRM, Dan Wesson Super Mag, Magnum Research Lone Eagle, T/C Encore rifle, and the United Sporting Arms Seville. They each have their own magic; but they all sing in harmony when it comes to extolling the virtues of the 357 Maximum. So I could feed my old addiction with a new spike. So is it possible or not? Not really. The 350 Legend is a giant 9mm case. That is, it’s rump is fatter than it’s shoulders. The base of the 350 is fatter than the cylindrical 357 Max.

I guess I should have said NOT EASILY. You could have a new cylinder made, but that’s a big ask on a new out the door gun.

I enjoy the multiple calibers I currently have. I'm really hesitant to start down a new track. I hear complaints coming from the vault already about "how come I never get to go dancing?". I'm still trying to scratch that .32 itch of the last couple of years. A new caliber would have to fill a niche not currently occupied.
I already have issues trying to keep everything sorted and maintained. Maybe 10 years ago I would have jumped into the water to see how deep it was, but not now. I'm on the downward portion of a life-long hill.

The moon clips are probably there to help ignition reliability as it is a rimless case... The moon clips for the double action revolver are for *extraction* of the rimless case

They also just sent another email and it states a smooth double action and a crisp single action.
