Those grips originally posted are gorgeous!
As for silver or nitride? I like those light colored grips on a polished blue or black gun.
To the fella with the NP3 finished gun, I think that finish doesn’t get enough press. I have some AR parts finidhed unit which really work well. Also, about 20 years ago a colleague and I used it on a intravenous medical device to get it to work- NOTHING else did in the application. First time I was exposed to nickel Teflon plating.

I really wish Robar was still in business doing that finish.

Robar didn’t develop that finish, but either they or their subcontractor specialized in using it on firearms.
I imagine some searching of industrial players will find you a specialist that can still hook you up.
Was nice tho with Robar since they were a known entity.

Kings6, Robbie Barkman’s company Coating Technologies is the company that applied the NP3 finish to the firearms. It is still in business. I believe that Suarez International is now the company that you go through to get an NP3 finish. I n the past year I talked to them about refinishing a pistol for me. Other projects got in the way but they were able to provide an NP3 finish.

Picked them up this afternoon, and they look even better in person. Plus I dropped off my new to me Bowen 500L Super Redhawk for some Walnut, Zane was working on for me for a different SRH, but the Bowen just seemed to need the new shoes more than the stock SRH that was originally planned. Also looked into some Ivory colored Micarta for my FA97.
