I’m so glad Zane posted pics of these, these are outstanding and exactly what I was hoping for when I picked out the horn blanks. They’ll be going on my 414SM, and now I’m unsure if I should go silver or matte black for a finish in the gun. Originally I was going to go black nitride, but now not so sure Mahovskys silver finish wouldn’t be better looking.

Zane is modest. His work is exceptional.
I had some Dall sheep blanks that he turned into a FINE pair of Ruger XR3-RED grips for the ROCS auction last weekend. I simply donated the material,, and Zane worked his magic. The buyer of them drove home to Fl, and promptly put them on a Ruger & texted me pics.
The buyer,, (Mike,) is in the ROCS pictures behind his Redhawk display. He's a VERY happy camper.
And the Bisley ones above,, I KNOW you'll be PROUD of them when installed on a gun!

Let me see if I can find a picture if the Dall Toy made gif my old model 41 I gave to my son. It has the Robar nP3 silver finish.

I think these are bighorn but close...  And this is musk ox, not so close but still light material.  And once again not so close but...this one is still in the white...  All these grips were done by Rob Rowan |

I went to Rowens site and most everything Is Stainless/Silver when matched with Dall, and Ivory gets matched with Blued/Black. One of the few dark guns with Dall is a pic of what appears to be Snyds 500L with Dall, and I really like the look of the combination dark and light, so sticking with Black Nitride is likely going to be the outcome.

Trapr Uggg…you said stainless. I’ll post some pics later…. The Dall looks good on everything. Bowen has a .500 L with an octagonal barrel and case colors that has dall grips that should come soon. |

Nice looking guns, Mike. Sheep horn has become my Ivory, I’ll probably never be able to afford Ivory unless I luck into some. I probably would never have gotten Sheep horn either if it weren’t for a friend that was selling an old Bighorn head that was turned over to Zane in exchange for grips. My Bighorn are both on Stainless guns, and I like them there, I think the Dall will ride on a Black gun. These Dall are actually the first pair I’ve had to buy, but they are definitely worth it.
