Mr. Taffin's 45 Redhawk and Skeeters .41 Redhawk. Both of them are going hunting and probably together. Both are shooters.  |

I know a few people are freaked out that Skeeters gun is going to be used but that is what he would have done. I won't beat it up. I take care of my guns but a little honest wear adds to the story. I don't know of anyone saying anything about Mr. Taffin's gun yet but Matt feels the same way. I am sure Mr. Taffin would like to see it put to good use. |

I have liked that 45 since the first time reading about it in Big Bore Handguns. When I called Buckhorn and realized it was available, I couldn't say "I'll take it" fast enough. In his book, he said this gun averaged an inch at 25 yards with 28 different loads. After a rushed group just to say I shot it, I can believe it. Just need a deer to step in front of it for me this deer season.

Yep. I'm betting he would as well.
You can't hurt those things, and if you do manage to get a little scratch here or there, your "honest-use" scratches will reside right there with his. Kinda cool in the heirloom sense that way.

I believe it was a 300 old style xtp over 21.5 grains H110 and a cci 350 primer in starline brass.
