Your pics of head shot squirrels, with belt packable handguns sure impresses me ! I have been wrapping my mind around using a stick to brace from. Have one found here with a fork at the top. Yours, I'd like a better look at please.

I usually just find a convenient tree to prop against. A walking stick would have to be too tall to use standing and my knees are too bad to do alot of kneeling.
I do use the stick for critters on the ground. Helps alot when just standing, although I still like to prop a shoulder on a tree.

Yours, I'd like a better look at please. It is just a seven foot cedar sapling I cut, brought one end to a point and hardened it in a fire. No fork on the end of it, I just prop it against a tree at what ever heighth I need and use it as a support. I find shooting from a forked one without the tree for support way less steady, and you really cant prop a forked one against a tree with you handgun in it. ![](http://i.imgur.com/jP6WZRUl.jpg)

I am still amazed by all the bushy tails you handgun. My son and I have talked about taking our old single sixes out and killing some squirrels. Awesome job as usual.

LongHunter, what .22LR ammo do you prefer when you handgun squirrels? In my Bisley Single Six, CCI Subsonic HPs have been fantastic.

I have tried them all at one time or another including subsonic CCI and Fiocchi. Right now I am running Aguila Interseptor's rated at 1470fps with really good results in all my .22 handguns, revolvers and semi's. Was even thinking of trying some Aguila Supermaximum rated at 1700fps, the handguns seem to like the faster stuff. Wanted to get ahold of some CCI Velocitor's and some Stingers but the Aquila is cheaper, easier to find and seems to be doing just fine.
