Here's a load I used to use in my old Wilson Combat Master Grade. It shot great and was 100% reliable.
You wouldn't think this bullet would feed in a 1911 but it did!
Bullet: Magma 255 gr. SWC
Powder: Winchester 231 4.2 grs.
Primer: Federal 150
Case: R-P
OAL: Top of crimp groove
Recoil Spring: 18.5 lbs.
