Got a friend that acquired a Colt Single Action Army. SN 112737 Its has a Nickle finish and is 45 cal. Got pictures if someone could help me out.

I saw that. Was wondering how accurate it is. Wish I knew how to upload pics. Did they do Nickle/chrome in 1884? Gun need some work on its timing but in good shape for 1884 if that's right. Grips are in good shape too.

Lettering that one would be only real way to tell. Yes, it could have been nickeled at that time.

That’s marked right and a BP frame ….nickel in extraordinary shape. I think it’s a gem and sure want to believe that’s the real Colt that endures that amount of time. That’s worth a call and a letter.

Any idea on value. I have not inspected it yet. But going of my discussion with my friend I think the internals need work. Maybe out of time.

I would letter it .It may be an early re Nickle.
