Hogue has used some nice wood and are a meaty grip. I like them. Have a set on a Linebaugh.

FINISH IT--GET RID OF THE LAWYER LABEL I need to, they look so much better without. I may end up having it fitted with a dovetail front sight too.

I pull the grip locator pin and make sure that a reasonable fit is possible, then wallow out the locator pin holes on the grips. A little epoxy or bedding compound, maybe touch the grip frame with a file to flatten the high spots if needed. Easier with ebony grips since they refinish so well.

I'll probably do that when I go to fit one of Ronnie's aluminum grip frames, glass bed the locator pin and then make the frame fit the grips. I've got extra sets in pau ferro, white and black micarta and I think some black pearl for when I'm feeling funky.

I'd strongly recommend having Ronnie cut the grips for you, either out of his material or yours. Fit is close to perfection that way.

Yes I did, best thing other than it’s accuracy is with Texas humidity I don’t have to worry about rust developing after use. The black nitride finish is awesome. I shot my pretty CCH and blued 500Max the other day and felt compelled to wipe it down immediately to avoid rusting that beautiful blue job, no need for concern on BearSpray
