I want that long barrelled one... I'm with Bushog on this one, that Bowen is one of my favorites! May have to make the call to get one….

That's a fantastic set you have. The vaquero is literally what I requested and hope to have in my hands before hunting season. And as mentioned, I am hoping to make that a one load gun then stock up.

Mike, did I used to own the upper gun? It seems like I had that one or its twin for awhile.

Mike, did I used to own the upper gun? It seems like I had that one or its twin for awhile. I"ll have to look, but I think I bought it from Tom Casselman, then sent it to you, but might of been the other way around. I bought a gun or two from him direct, but memory fails on this one. Tom had it built then got badly ill and sold a bunch of incredibly awesome Bowen guns. A friend got the 5.5" stainless octagons I really wanted. Persinger did the ivory, and unfortunately for me they were a tad small for me, so I decided to let it go. The ivory on it is a gorgeous cream swirl looking set. All I shot in it was 440 LFNGC ahead of 16 of HS6, but it really shot well. That gun was also just too nice to carry in the field. I'd of been sick when I scratched it or dinged it. Those are all fine revolvers. The Dustin gun is the one I'd get the most use out of for my purposes.

Fantastic family photo. I'm in the midst of building back my big bores and have always preferred the 500 over the 475 or 454. I find them more pleasant to use...lower pressures but big honking bullets.

I also like the 480 and have a 5 shot Ruger and also the double rifle in that chambering. I've owned most of the 50's except for the Special. I will have to consider that.

I was going to get a picture on my barrel banded .500 for the nimrod thread, than decided on a group photo of my .500 Linebaughs. From top to bottom: Bowen, Dustin Linebaugh, John Linebaugh, John Linebaugh Supergrade Could you show a photo of the Vaquero rear sight?
