Resin ivory is currently the closest thing to ivory many folks say. Giraffe bone can look similar but since Bar-S stopped making their product, Resin ivory is probably as close to real ivory in looks etc as you can get now days.

Hi Gang The frame and grips are mine and are headed to Huntington to be used on my Single Five big bore 10 mm. I bought the blanks from Guitarpartsandmore.com. The price wasn’t to bad in my opinion $79.95 + 8.00 shipping.
The blanks had a smooth but grippy feel. I haven’t handled them since Zane did his magic.
In my opinion the grain line are more pronounced in the picture then in the blanks as sold.

Zane is also rehandling a Randell knife for me with a same stuff. Will have him add pictures here when done! Thanks Zane looks great!

I’m a #25 owner as well, 5” model. Mine was a bucket list purchase, I’ve wanted one since teenage years once I discovered they were referred to as the “Trapper”. It spends its life in the safe, but I’ve fashioned my own tribute version for use in the field.

My 25 has an oosic handle with a REALLY nasty crack in it. Randall’s were my affliction before the single actions. I only have a few left.
