I like working with wood I don't normally have high end blanks to start with You never know what it looks like on the inside (at least I don't) This is a contender with a 10" 30 Herrett barrel that has a 7" vented extension threaded and pinned It shoots nice but loud. A great plinker when I use Trail Boss. The forearm is spalted sycamore and the buttstock is burly maple

I think I just saw y our post this morning on a different forum when I was researching some data for a new load for my 30 Herrett as well and thought, "man that stock is awesome!"
I love ones that look like a "mannlicher" on contenders, I have one of the factory ones for octagon barrels, but would really like one for bull barrels as well.

I've found that factory furniture for the little break actions limited I picked up an Encore and the pistol forearm is even more restrictive for the offhand support. So I found a chunk of walnut and Voila
