Was at the big Sports Expo in Salt Lake yesterday talking with the guy I hunted with in Africa last year when I got a text from Kelly Brost, former owner of Cast Performance Bullets. Very interesting guy, he said nobody was using the pool at work today. Here's his work place on Oooguruk, Island in Prudhoe Bay in Alaska..... 65 degrees below zero wind chill.... beach looks deserted.....  Dick |

Interstate highways in eastern ND closed this morning. -40 windchills. We can deal with it. We always do.

Wouldn’t mind, honestly. I tried a couple times to get work for a season at McMurdo station in Antarctica. Might not be super pleasant, but it’s an experience that wouldn’t have many parallels.

A poor helicopter shot heading out to the Caspian Sea. Summers hit 100+, water depth 40 miles offshore was 20'. We built the island.  My living quarters on a retired Russian cruise ship, the Schotov.  Another shot of my home.  |

Miss Penny would kill me if I even suggested for us to go to a place like that. She's NOT a fan of too much snow. And temps,,,  Anything below 40 degrees gets her to warming up the heater. |

We've had 4-5 night lows below zero in the last month. As a young man, I looked into those jobs on Antarctica too !
