My 9mm 1911 project is working great, but the rust-blue was not holding up well at all. A buddy who was getting out of the business (moving to a great new job) gave me his Gun Cote paints and I thought, 'OK, I'll give it a go.' If you'd told me twenty years ago I would be spray-painting gun parts with an airbrush I'd have been pretty sure that you'd bumped your head. The results were... not tragic, but there will definitely be a couple parts that get refinished and resprayed. I have to admit, I do like the look.

As with most painting its 95% prep 05% spraying. Looking good!
