Homemade Grips part 2

I just picked up a used Super Blackhawk and it came with a set of oversized Pachmayer grips that had to go, so I made a set from some Bocote. This is my second try at making grips and I am pleased with how they came out. I will take it out and shoot it tomorrow and see how they feel, I have large hands so the grips were made thick. I figured it is easier to take more off if needed. Let me know what you think

I could never compete with a master craftsman such as yourself, but thanks for the compliment. Besides I do not yet have the confidence or equipment to try to sell these.
I enjoy doing it to much to mess it up by turning it into a job, for now it is just personal
gratification.

Believe or not, I still get a thrill out of seeing that finished set of grips, even if I do have to send them out to someone else. If it was just a job, I might be doing something else that paid a little better.

It does have it's perks though. I get to play "dress up" with all my own guns. ;D

That Bocote is very nice. I posted a pick of some I roughed out, but they are not finished yet. I fear I am not at your skill level. Way to set the standard high.
