I'd guess tracking wasn't too difficult!

I don't know who coined the phrase, "deer grenade", but that would qualify. See they have a 350 Legend bullet, hmmnnn...

I wonder what velocity range that bullet was designed for. I’m suspecting it was moving a bit faster than planned.

The owner that I talked with actually recomend a lighter bullet in order to push faster. I wanted a bit more BC. They are made with a low engraving friction coefficient inorder to add a bit more powder for higher velocity. I hit the lower part of the vertebrae at a downward and slightly forward angle. Inothers words I hit a lot of bone.

No tenderizing needed. Was this from a handgun? Most likely not with listed velocity….what’s the details on the round/gun combo?

Hit a small whitetail buck one time with a 225gr. NP from a 358STA, buck was 50-75 yards away. Offside shoulder looked a lot like that. Only made that mistake once.

In Louisiana we have what is called a "Primitive Weapon" season that gives 3 weeks additional season if you have one. To qualify it requires a single shot rifle with an exposed hammer 35 caliber or larger. I have an 1885 Highwall that was a 30-06 that isent to JESS Rebore and had it rebore to 35 Whelen with 10 twist. I mounted a 3X15X50 Tract Toric scope

That was sure some devastating results with that combo.
